"...T’ai Li Lodge is a space for families and groups who want to enjoy a nature retreat together. It is an island-cottage getaway for those who are looking for something different than a hotel or bed and breakfast, who want to get away but still feel at home..."

Luxury Lodge Accommodations, Cosy Cabins and high-end waterfront Camping.

Dear Friends,

We have strived to retain what we found here – the beauty of the natural world. We use ungroomed forest footpaths – no concrete walkways here. We ask our guests to bring flashlights as it is dark here at night. You will see constellations of stars that you probably have forgotten exist.

T’ai Li (Ty Lee) is not for everyone. It has been created by nature and with the intention to provide a place where people can re-create a calm, clear peace of mind. Loosely translated from Chinese, T’ai Li means “a peaceful mind leads to clear vision.” The snow-capped mountains, the ocean, the forests and the abundant wildlife all conspire to bring us back to the basics of life. They are also a backdrop for great fun - swimming, hiking, kayaking, bird watching, and just plain hanging out.

T’ai Li Lodge appeals to people who are seeking a completely non-commercial setting. It was designed to leave the lightest possible footprint on the island and still provide our guests with the creature comforts we all appreciate. We strive to maintain a balance between sustainability and comfort; we do this by not duplicating bathrooms, kitchens and complex utility infrastructure on our site. An unexpected and delightful consequence of sharing “common facilities” has been the warm and interesting friendships that have developed at T’ai Li.

Choose from luxury waterfront accommodation in "The Ludge" to cozy cabins and gourmet oceanfront camping at "Arbutus Point Camp."

Our site has been arranged into two distinct sections; “The Lodge” and “Arbutus Point Camp.” They are available separately or together. We can accommodate singles, couples, families and groups up to twenty-four. Accommodations range from a luxurious waterfront home, “The Lodge”, to comfortable small cabins and platform tents . You can even bring your own tent to a beautiful campsite on the ocean.

These “gourmet camping” opportunities at Arbutus Point Camp are nestled in secluded sites along the water and easily accessible to Arbutus Commons which has kitchen, lounging and bathroom facilities for Arbutus Point Camp guests.

T'ai Li is the idea gthering place for
Family Reunions, Kayak Clubs or Yoga Retreats.

Please get in touch with us if you have been looking for a quiet and inspiring location for family reunions, kayak clubs or yoga retreats. We are fully equipped for up to 24 guests. Please contact us with any questions about the specific facilities of each site.
